The Food Project
As you are all VERY well aware, some of the themes of Global Studies are related to the ideas of culture, identity and diversity, as well as our favorite subject:
Cultural Diffusion
All year long we have been looking at the role food plays within the cultures we are studying, as well as how those foods fit into our own culture.
For this project, you will choose one particular food: maybe your favorite or a food you want to know more about and do some research to find out where it comes from and what role it plays in the culture/place where its from and our own today.
You will need to find out the origins of this food and how this food diffused into our own culture. Then, you will create an audio podcast;or a commercial, for this food to explain to us what you have learned about that food.
